Joseph E. King, 81, of 3619 West Marshall Street, Manitowoc, died Monday, June 3, 1991, at Manitowoc Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Donald Schneider will officiate and burial will be at St. Anne Cemetery, Francis Creek. Military Graveside rite will be accorded by VFW Otto Oas Post No. 659.

He was born March 5, 1910, at Oneida, Wis., son of the late Jamison and Pearl Winters King. He was educated at Oneida Schools and married the former Mary Jane Sukawaty on September 28, 1945. Mr. King was employed at Rockwood Lime Co. for many years, retiring in 1975. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the Army in the Pacific Theatre. Joseph was a good provider and enjoyed his grandchildren and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane King of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Roger Lodel of Manitowoc; sisters and brothers include Mrs. Florence Stenzel of Cato, DeForest King of Manitowoc, Angeline and Bernard Fraser of Manitowoc, Charles King of Shreveport, La.; three grandchildren, Joseph Lodel, Kirk Lodel and Mary Jo Lodel; a great granddaughter, Cydney; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, 9th Street Chapel, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Tuesday.
