DIES AT HIS FARM HOME
Louis Hassemer Sr., 73, Is To Be Buried On Friday
Louis Hassemer Sr., 73, died yesterday at his home on Route 6, Manitowoc, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 9 o’clock from the home and at 9:30 from the St. Ann’s church at Francis Creek with the Rev. Gregory officiating. Interment will be in St. Ann’s cemetery.
Mr. Hassemer was born on July 2, 1862, in the town of Kossuth. He operated a farm for many years and retired six years ago. He married Margaret Seidl on February 12, 1885.
Survivors are the widow, five daughters, Mrs. Louis Kerscher, Mrs. Frank Kerscher, Mrs. Anna Stelzer, all of Francis Creek, Mrs. John Meyer, Rockwood, Mrs. George Wagner, Milwaukee; two sons, Henry and Charles, Francis Creek; one brother, August, West New York, N.J.; 24 grandchildren.
Mr. Hassemer was a member of the Catholic Knights at Francis Creek.
The body will be removed to the home on Wednesday from the Pfeffer funeral home.
