Notes from Francis Creek
Mrs. Anna Havlinek, an old settler of Kossuth, died Saturday, February 26, at the home of her son, Frank Havlinek in this village, after an illness of seven weeks. Her death was due to infirmities of old age. She was 91 years, 1 month and 8 days old.
The deceased was born in Bohemia and with her husband and three children came to this country about fifty years ago. The family settled on a farm in Kossuth upon which they lived for many years. Her husband died nine years ago.
She is survived by three children, Frank Havlinek of Francis Creek, John Havlinek of Gibson and Mrs. Daniel Krumdick of Manitowoc.
The deceased was an affectionate wife and mother and good neighbor. She lived a long and useful life and was held in high esteem by all who knew her.
The funeral was held Monday forenoon from the Catholic Church at Francis Creek, interment in the adjoining cemetery.
