James R. Hebert, age 72, of 1726 Lilac Drive, Manitowoc, died Monday evening, Feb. 9, 2004, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Fr. Dave Hoffman. Burial of the cremated remains will take place at a later date at St. Anne Church Cemetery, Francis Creek.

James was born Aug. 29, 1932, in Manitowoc, son of the late August and Eva Turner Hebert. James was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1950. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. On May 20, 1961, he married the former Mary Schuette at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. James was employed at Wisconsin Public Service for 16 years and then at Hamilton Industries in Two Rivers. After leaving Hamilton Industries, Jim attended Lakeshore Technical College receiving his associate's degree in accounting. He was then employed with Les Monde as an accountant until his retirement. He was a member of AmVets Post #99 and the 50's Boy's Club.

Survivors include his wife: Mary Hebert, Manitowoc; two daughters and a son-in-law: Margaret Hebert, Manitowoc; Gina and Bruce Horkman, Manitowoc: four grandchildren: Rachel Hebert, Chris Bast, Alex Horkman and Amanda Horkman. Also surviving are nieces, nephews. other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Henry, and three sisters, Joyce Dilsaver, Jean Leindecher and Mary Bruechert.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. Friday until the time of service at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Lombardi Cancer Clinic, Two Rivers.
