(1875 - 1967)

Joseph Heran, 91, of 911 State St., Manitowoc, died Thursday at home of a heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Haen will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Heran was born Aug. 15, 1875, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late John and Barbara Havlinek Heran. He married Katherine Lemberger May 4, 1908, at Whitelaw, and the couple farmed in the Town of Kossuth and lived at Francis Creek until a year ago, moving to Manitowoc.

Survivors are the wife, two sons, Lester, of Abrams and John, of Milwaukee; daughters, Mrs. Isadore (Esther) Korleske and Mrs. Walter (Jennie) Wilms, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Thomas (Eva) Bradley, of Chicago and Miss Lillian Heran of Belmont, Calif., 18 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A daughter preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home, State Street entrance, after 3 p.m. Sunday where at 7:30 p.m. the Rosary will be recited.
