LUKE HERMAN SR.

Luke Herman, 78, of Francis Creek, died late Tuesday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, of injuries received in the morning in a tractor accident. He had changed a tire on the tractor parked near Francis Creek Co-Op and started the motor. The vehicle was in gear and ran over his body.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 10 a.m. with a solemn requiem Mass at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Herman was born Oct. 15, 1884, in the town of Kossuth, son of the late Engelbert and Bernadine Bolle Herman. He was educated at Palm Grove and St. Anne schools. He married Emma Hessel at St. Anne Church Oct. 22, 1904, and farmed at Branch until 1916, moving to a farm at Mishicot and coming to a farm at Francis Creek in 1922.

Mr. Herman was a member of Holy Name Society of St. Anne Church, a trustee of St. Anne Cemetery Assn. and a member of Francis Creek Sportsman’s Club. His wife died in 1952.

Surviving are a son, C. Webber on the home farm; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Beatrice) Benish of Eau Claire and Mrs. Joseph (Viola) Krainik of Rt. 1, Whitelaw; a brother, Louis of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A son, Luke, a daughter, Marie, three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. by the Rev. John Haen and Holy Name Society.

In the Matter of the Estate of LUKE HERMAN, also known as LUKE HERMAN, SR., Deceased.
A petition for probate of the estate of Luke Herman, also known as Luke Herman, Sr., deceased, late of the Village of Francis Creek, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, and for determination and adjudication of heirship, having been filed.
IT IS ORDERED:
That the time within which all creditors of said deceased shall present claims against such estate for examination and allowance is hereby fixed and limited up to and including the 9th day of December, 1963.
That proofs of heirship be taken and all claims and demands against the said deceased be examined and adjusted by the Court on the 10th day of December, 1963, at the opening of the Court on that day, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard.
