(1910 - 1955)

Luke Herman, Jr., 44, of Francis Creek, manager at a lumber company, died Monday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday a the Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Joseph Rauch will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Herman was born in the town of Kossuth on Dec. 13, 1910, a son of Luke and the late Mrs. Emma Hessel Herman, Sr. In 1929 he married the former Blanche Shimon and the couple lived for a short time at Manitowoc before coming to Francis Creek. Mr. Herman was employed for ?? years at the Francis Creek Lumber Co. and managed its operations and business for many years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Ann Church.

Surviving him are his wife, a daughters, Mary Ann and two sons, Joseph and Robert of Francs Creek; father, Luke Herman, Sr., of Francis Creek, a brother, Webber of Francis Creek, and two sisters, Mrs. Carl Benish of Eau Claire and Miss Viola Herman of Francis Creek. His mother died in February of 1952.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday when the Rosary will be recited by Father Rauch and members of the Holy Name Society at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
