Notes From Francis Creek:

J.K. Hessel, aged 63 years, an old resident of this place, died at his home here Monday. His death was due to cancer.

He is survived by his wife and five children, Mrs. Jos. Brickhof, Mrs. J. Steinbrecher, Charles, Robert and Albert.

The funeral will be held Thursday morning.

ORDER FOR PROOF OF WILL
STATE OF WISCONSIN--COUNTY COURT FOR MANITOWOC COUNTY--IN PROBATE.
In the matter of the estate of Jacob K. Hessel, deceased.
An instrument in writing, purporting to be the last will and testament of Jacob K. Hessel late of said county deceased, having been delivered into said court:
And Caroline Hessel, of said county, having presented to said court her petition in writing duly verified, representing, among other things, that said Jacob K. Hessel died testate, at the town of Kossuth in said county, in the 1st day of July, 1912; that said instrument is the last will of said deceased and that no person is names therein as Executor, and praying that said instrument be proven and admitted to Probate and that letters of administration with the will annexed be thereon issued to said Caroline Hessel.
It is ordered: That said petition and the matters therein be heard, and proofs of said last will and testament be taken at a special term of said county court, to be held at the probate office in the city of Manitowoc, on Tuesday, the 20th day of May, 1913, at 10 o'clock A.M.
And it is further ordered: That notice of the time and place of said hearing be given by publication hereof for three successive weeks. Once each week previous to the time of said hearing in the Manitowoc Daily Herald, a daily newspaper published at the city of Manitowoc, in said Manitowoc County.
