Mrs. Wanda Junk, 90, a lifelong Manitowoc County resident, died Tuesday morning, September 19, 1989 at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 am Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at St. Boniface Catholic church, Manitowoc. Presiding at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Gerald Prusakowski O.F.M. and burial will be in St. Anne Cemetery, Francis Creek.
Mrs. Junk, nee Wanda Stefaniak, was born November 2, 1898 at Northeim, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Siewert Stefaniak. She was a lifelong Manitowoc county resident. She married Henry Junk, April 24, 1917 at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. He preceded her in death February 25, 1967.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Valarian and Mayme Junk of Cato, Kenneth and Jeanette Junk and Ervin and Annette Junk, all of Manitowoc; three daughters and a son-in-law, Mrs. Geraldine Behnke, Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Dondlinger and Mrs. Audrey Burkart, all of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Tony (Alvina) Chizek of Newton; 17 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a granddaughter, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 pm to 9 pm Wednesday, where a prayer service will be at 6:30 pm Wednesday by Father Jerry.
