From the Files of the Pilot - Twenty-Five years Ago - 1894
Edward Keenan of Kossuth, died on Saturday of last week. He had been in feeble health for some time so that his death was not unexpected.

Mr. Keenan was an early settler of Kossuth, having had a fair education, he was quite prominent for a tie in the pubic affairs of the town. He was a man of the most rigid honesty and of the highest character.
