COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 04/07/2004
Caroline Marie Carta, 71, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at her home. She was the former Caroline Wild and a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John & Edward Wild, and a sister, Pearl Scanlon. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Joseph C. Carta; one daughter, Patty (Don) McAllister; five sons, Joseph (Phyllis) Carta Jr., Alan (Patty) Carta, Jerry Carta, Darryl (Kelly) Carta and Paul (Mendy) Carta; one sister, Margaret Brock; two brothers, Charles & Sonny Wild; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Arch L. Heady & Son, Okolona, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may go to St. Luke Catholic Church or the WHAS Crusade for Children.
