(1917 - 1950)

Mrs. John Kettner, 33, of 921 North 11th street, Manitowoc, died suddenly Monday afternoon at her home. She became short of breath due to an asthma affliction and sent one of her sons to a neighbor. The inhalator squad from the fire department was summoned and worked nearly an hour but could not revive her. Coroner Theodore Teitgen, who was summoned, said her death was due to a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at the Mittnacht funeral home, Manitowoc, and at 9 o'clock at the St. Ann Catholic church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Joseph Rauch will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was born Agnes Kerscher in Francis Creek in 1917, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kerscher, and was married to Mr. Kettner in 1938. They located on a farm in Kossuth and moved to Manitowoc two years ago, when her husband took employment with a Manitowoc firm.

Survivors are her husband and three sons, Richard, Daniel and Robert of Manitowoc; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kerscher of Francis Creek; two brothers, Raymond and Lloyd of Francis Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Wuellner of Algoma and Mrs. Howard Hanlon of Two Rivers.
