LEO H. KOCHAN
(1904 - 1964)

Leo H. Kochan, 50, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, died at 7 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. He had been in ill health the last seven months.

Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc and 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek, the Rev. John Haen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Kochan was born July 17, 1904 in the Town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County, son of the late Anton and Anna Seibert Kochan. He attended St. Ann School, Francis Creek and operated the homestead farm in the Town of Kossuth until 1961. He had since been engaged as a plumber and carpenter until his recent illness.

He married Loretta Gasink Nov. 5, 1940, at New Ulm, Minn. He was a past president of St. Ann Holy Name Society and a former trustee of the church. He was active with the Boy Scouts of Troop 45 the last 10 years and was a member of Carpenter's Local No. 819 and Shoto Conservation Club. He was also active for many years in Manitowoc County Baseball League.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, James of Milwaukee and Thomas at home; three daughters, Mrs. Martin Hoffman of Manitowoc, Sister M. Leonette of Holy Family Convent, Alverno, and Carol at home; a brother, Bernard of Francis Creek; and four sisters, Sister M. Leonilla of Manistique, Mich., Miss Cecelia C. Kochan and Mrs. Elmer Teetz of Greendale and Mrs. Leo Crechard of Manitowoc and one grandchild.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. by the Holy Name Society.
