JOSEPH KOEHLY
(1869 - 1949)

Joseph Koehly, 81, of Rockwood, superintendent of the Rockwell Lime company for over 40 years, died this noon at the Holy Family hospital following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Pfeffer funeral home and at 5 o'clock at St. Ann's Catholic church, Francis Creek, the Rev. Joseph Rauch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Koehly was born at Basil, Switzerland in 1869 and in 1898 came to the United States. He located at Rockwood in 1908, to take the superintendency of the Rockwell Lime company. He never married. He was a member of the fourth degree, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Knights, Holy Name society of Francis Creek, the Foresters and Izaak Walton league. He was also a director of the Francis Creek State bank.

Survivors are a sister, Josephine, of Rockwood; brother George Koehly, of the Brothers of Mercy, Maryhurst, Kirkwood, Mo.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Sunday, where the rosary will be recited by the Knights of Columbus at 8 p.m. Monday and by the Rev. Joseph Rauch at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Friends are asked to please omit flowers.
