(1821 - 1898)

Death on Mon. of Town Kossuth resident Mrs. Theresia Korneli nee Treffen, after a short illness.

She was the widow of Georg Korneli who died seven years ago. She was born 08 May 1821 in Gau Algersheim, Hessen-Darmstadt. With her husband and two children she came to America in 1853 and settled in Town Kossuth where she has lived ever since.

She leaves three sons -Peter Korneli who lives in Kossuth, and Charles and Jacob Korneli, both located in Milwaukee. She is also survived by her 4 daughters-in-law, 26 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Burial will take place tomorrow morning in the St. Anna Cemetery in Francis Creek.

Died at her home in the town of Kossuth on Monday, January 17, 1898, Mrs. Theresa Kornely at the advanced age of 77 years.

She was the mother of Peter Kornely, a prominent farmer of that town.

She leaves three sons Peter Kornely of Kossuth, Charles and Jacob of Milwaukee.

The deceased was one of the pioneer settlers of this county and was esteemed and beloved by a large circle of friends in the neighborhood.
