Mary Ann Lodl, age 95, of Manitowoc, was taken by God to her eternal home on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Mary Ann was born on May 24, 1919 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Peter and Rose (Vogel) Koeppel. On June 12, 1947 Mary Ann was married to Benjamin J. Lodl in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1991. She was employed at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center for 9 years. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Mary Ann enjoyed her family, cooking, baking, dancing and family get-togethers.

Survivors include her 8 children: Jean (William) Toedter, MI; Kenneth (Diane) Basken, Manitowoc; Janice Zich, Manitowoc; Kenneth (Kathie) Lodl, Manitowoc; Nancy Lodl, Manitowoc; Bob (Kathy) Lodl, Francis Creek; Kay (Todd) Wallander, Whitelaw; Benjamin (Anna) Lodl, Manitowoc; 21 grandchildren: Barbara (Joe) Smits; Lori Pavlat; Bryan Toedter; Michael (Lori) Zich; Shari (Rick) Schermetzler; Thomas Zich and special friend: Val; Suzanne (Kevin) Cullen; Annette Masek; Darrell (Mary) Basken; Tammy (Dave) Johnsen; Lisa (Steve) Buoniconti; Amy McGinnis; Steve (Catie) Savage; Cari Ann (Josh) Wasurick; Cory (Nicki) Lodl; Matthew Penke; Justin Penke; Brittany Siehr; Ryan Siehr; Nicole Wallander and special friend: Dave; Andrew Wallander and special friend: Brittany; 21 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Angelina Lodell, TX, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Benjamin; 2 daughters: Debra Lodl; Lois Savage; step-father: Hugo Shimek; 2 sisters: Helen Timm; Dorothy Blimel; 4 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law: Roman (Dorothy) Koeppel; Edward Shimek; Hugo Shimek Jr.; Lester (Charlotte) Shimek; Agnes Shimek; one brother-in-law: Colonel Edward J. Lodell; one nephew: Drew Lodell.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Becker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 1124 Main Street, Kellnersville, on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Parish Prayer Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. led by Rev. John Becker. Visitation will continue on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Jens, Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Homes of Kellnersville is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff in the Cozy Corner Unit of Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center for their kind and supportive care of our mother. We would also like to thank Rosamunda, Bert, Evelyn, Jane and Bernice who were mom's buddies when they dined together for all the love and fun they had together.
