Dolly was born on Nov. 11, 1922, in Manitowoc County, to the late Julius and Josephine (Holzer) Loritz. She attended St. Boniface and Fairview Schools and graduated from Valders High School in 1941. In 1942 she married Merlin Weichart. He preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1943. On Sept. 24, 1946, Dolly married Thomas J. Moore Jr. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1974. Mom had been employed at Lapcor Plastics and Paragon Electric where she was proud to achieve the position of timekeeper. Our mom was a great baker known for her caraway rye bread, raised sweet dough and German potato salad, recipes that were handed down to her kids. Dolly loved to read, do crossword puzzles, play sheepshead and scrabble. She also enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers during the Brett Favre era. Mom was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Parish in Two Rivers.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law: Greg (Mary Jo) Moore, Whitelaw, Mike (Patty) Moore, Valders; three daughters and one son-in-law: Patty Katreh, Manitowoc, Mary (George) Mauer, Two Rivers, Cele Moore, Francis Creek; as well as ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Dolly is also survived by two brothers and two sisters-in-law: J. Charles Loritz, Manitowoc, Gerald (Mary) Loritz, Kingman, Ariz., Joyce Loritz, Valders.
