MARIA PANKRATZ
(1808 - 1889)
Death of 81 yr. old Mrs. Marie Pankratz, mother of Mr. George Pankratz here yesterday morning in Town Kossuth.
Several weeks ago Mrs. Pankratz suffered a stroke and was paralyzed on the right side robbing her of her speech. Dr. Simon did whatever was possible. Death arrived yesterday.
The deceased came to America with her husband in 1855 and the pair settled in Kossuth. Her husband died about 20 yrs. ago. Mrs. Pankratz was proud of her years and good health, such that when she visited her son three weeks ago she walked the five miles back on foot.
Of her 9 children, 7 (4 sons and 3 daughters) are still living.
The funeral will take place Fri. in Kossuth.
