Mrs. Charles J. Neuser, 86, formerly of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon at Manitowoc County Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Monday at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church. The Rev. John Haen will be celebrant at a solemn requiem high Mass and burial will be in the church cemetery.
The former Theresa Siebert was born Jan. 25, 1878, in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Carl and Frances Schmatz Seibert. She attended St. Ann Catholic School at Francis Creek and was married to Charles J. Neuser Oct. 18, 1897. Mr. Neuser died in 1930 and Mrs. Neuser operated the farm with the family until 1948. She then retired but continued to live with a son, Herman, on the homestead farm. She had been at Manitowoc County Hospital the past year.
Mrs. Neuser was a member of Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and St. Ann Christian Mothers Altar Society of the church.
Surviving are nine sons, Reinhard and Bernard of Milwaukee, Oscar of Brillion, Charles of Mishicot, Edmund and Herman of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, Walter of Manitowoc, Robert of Green Bay and Alfred of Appleton; four daughters, Eleanor of Newark, N.J., Mrs. Elmer Braun of Green Bay, Mrs. Jacob Dorner of Two Rivers and Mrs. Wallace Fictum of Kenosha; 52 grand-children and 89 great grandchildren. A daughter Mrs. Andrew Yost, died in 1962 and she was also preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. by St. Ann Christian Mothers Altar Society, Catholic Knights and Knights of Columbus.
