Marian C. Porubcansky, age 92, of 103 South Packer Drive, Francis Creek, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at her residence.
Marian was born on March 3, 1923 in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Hassemer) Kerscher. On April 27, 1946 Marian married Joseph L. Porubcansky at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1989. She worked for many years at First National Bank in Francis Creek. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Altar Society, Catholic Financial Life, Catholic Knights and the Francis Creek Rockwood Senior Citizens. She enjoyed puzzles, dominoes, beaded ornaments and working outside.
She is survived by nieces and nephews: Janet (Allen) Haws, Two Rivers; Francis (Chris) Bolzenthal, Francis Creek; JoAnn (Edwin) Skarivoda, Manitowoc; Carole Anhalt, Manitowoc; Bob (Anne) Dirkman, Francis Creek; Mike (Pat) Dirkman, Manitowoc; Richard (Patti) Freimuth, TN; Mark (Barbara) Freimuth, FL; two sisters-in-law: Ethel Porubcansky, Francis Creek; Elizabeth "Bea" Porubcansky, Manitowoc, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Joseph; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Sylvia (Albert) Bolzenthal; Marcella (Leo) Dirkman; June (Paul) Freimuth; one nephew: Jim Anhalt.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Becker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
