ACCIDENT OF OVER YEAR AGO PROVES FATAL
Loretta Neuser, 17, Injured In Motor Car Accident In July, 1927, Dies Last Night


Suffering a stroke on Wednesday morning when she was found by her mother, at the family home, at Francis Creek, in a serious condition, Loretta Helen Neuser, aged 17 years, who was seriously injured in an automobile accident near Francis Creek, July 22, 1927, which claimed the life of one girl, passed away Friday night. Her death was a sad shock to the Neuser family, but the young lady had apparently recovered from a serious operation which saved her life after the accident and was on the road to recovery.

Miss Neuser had but recently visited at Chicago, with her sisters there, and expected to shortly pursue her studies in the Rockwood high school. In the accident that resulted in the fatal injury of one of her companions, Helen Pfeffer of Cato, Miss Neuser sustained injuries to her head and her life was despaired of. But after an operation she rallied and gradually improved.

Two Seriously Hurt
In the accident which happened on the highway near Francis Creek, within a half mile of Miss Neuser's home, the car in which a party of young people went sliding right into the ditch. Miss Neuser and Miss Pfeffer were the two most seriously injured. Miss Pfeffer died three days after the crash.

When Mrs. Neuser went to call her daughter Wednesday morning she found her suffering from a stroke. Physicians were called but her condition was worse and she died last night.

Besides the mother, Mrs. Anna Neuser, Francis Creek, four sisters, Mrs. Arthur Corey and Mrs. Herbert Eichaker of Chicago, Mrs. Edward Dariz of Oak Park, and Marie at home, and three brothers, Theodore, Chicago, and William and Frank at home, survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday morning at 9:30 from the home and at ten o'clock from the St. Ann's church at Francis Creek, with solemn high mass in charge of Fathers Schill and Jaeckels and Rouss.
