Mrs. Anton (Frances) Novak, 70, of 424 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday a Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by a nephew, the Rev. Robert Fictum SDS, and a cousin, the Rev. Raphael Birringer SDS. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Church cemetery, Francis Creek, Wis.
The former Frances A. Haws was born Nov. 2, 1912, at Francis Creek, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Birringer Haw. She was married to Anton C. Novak Aug. 22, 1933, at St. Anne Catholic Church. After marriage the couple settled in Manitowoc. Mr. and Mrs. Novak would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this coming Monday. Mrs. Novak had been employed for many years at National Tinsel Factory.
Survivors include her husband, Anton, two daughters and sons-in-law, Bette and Herman Holzer and Janet and Milton Cisler of Manitowoc; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Eleanor and Edward Fictum of Denmark, and Loretta and John Heerey of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, where a prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. by Deacon William Klein.
