STEVEN ALAN REIF
(1954 - 1963)

Steven Reif, 8, (photo) son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Reif of Francis Creek, died Sunday morning at Holy Family hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient eight weeks.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek, the Rev. John Haen officiating.

Steven was born Nov. 13, 1954, at Francis Creek son of Frederick and Marvel Haen Reif. He would have been in third grade at St. Ann Parochial School this fall but did not start school because of his physical condition. He was a cub scout in Pack 145, Den No. 5. While a patient at Theda Clark Hospital, Neenah, last January, he was made an honorary cub scout by Pack 150 of St. Mary Parish, Menasha.

The boy always had a keen interest in football and while hospitalized at Neenah, Lon Carpenter of the Green Bay Packers football team visited him at the hospital. Early this year Bart Starr of the Packers brought him an autographed football on a visit to the home. This past summer, Steven was bat boy for the Francis Creek Pony Little League baseball team.

Surviving are the parents, a sister, Lori Ann, a brother, Joseph, maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Haen, of Rt. 1, Mishicot, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Reif, of Manitowoc, and paternal great grandmothers, Mrs. Matt Reif, of Francis Creek and Mrs. Molly Reinholz, of Milwaukee.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited by Father Haen and the parish at 8 p.m.
