ROSELIE REZEK
(1875 - 1953)

Mrs. John Rezek, 78, former Manitowoc resident on Rt. 2, Two Rivers, in the Town of Kossuth, died late Thursday afternoon at the Fair Hills Rest Home, Rosencrans. She had been a patient there since May 26 and had been in ill health since suffering a stroke in 1951.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 9 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Joseph Rauch will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

The former Rose Cigler was born Jan. 1, 1875, in the Town of Cooperstown and in 1896 was married to John Rezek. The couple operated the Rezek homestead farm until Rezek's death in 1945. The farm is now run by a son, Gardy Rezek.

Survivors include three sons, Gardy of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, Otto of West Allis and Clarence of Richland Center; a daughter, Miss Celia Rezek of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Emma Hoffman of Wayside; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A son, Joseph, died in 1952.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday.
