GERALD FRANCIS SCHETTER
(1933 - 2013)

Gerald Francis Schetter, of Francis Creek died peacefully at home on Saturday, March 30, 2013 surrounded by his family.

Gerald (Jerry) Schetter was born November 8, 1933 in Mishicot, son of the late Raymond and Marie (Schesniak) Schetter. He attended school in the Mishicot area and graduated with the class of 1951 from Mishicot High School. On June 2, 1956 Jerry married the former Rose Marie Reif at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Jerry worked for Rahr Laboratories and later Anheuser Busch where Jerry then worked for over 30 years from 1962 until his retirement at the end of 1993. Jerry was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and honorary lifetime member of the Francis Creek Sportsman's Club. Jerry enjoyed life to the fullest, and valued spending time with his family first and foremost. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, a good game of Sheepshead, and spending time at the trailer in Athelstane.

Jerry is survived by his wife: Rose Marie Schetter, Francis Creek; six children: Kathy (Bob) Lodl, Francis Creek; Rick (Lynn) Schetter, Two Rivers; Peg (Chris) Lamping, Morris, IL; Gregg (Jill) Schetter, Francis Creek; Larry (Sheila) Schetter, Cleveland; and Casey (Georgia) Schetter, DePere; thirteen grandchildren: Cari (Josh) Wasurik; Corey (Nicki) Lodl; Victoria Schetter; Katie Schetter; Sydney Schetter; Ryley Schetter; Megan Schetter; Allison Schetter; Julia Schetter; Macy Schetter; Amber Gibson; Jacob Schetter; and Matthew Schetter; three sisters and one brother-in-law: Margie Wilfert, Sheboygan; Doris Hessel, Manitowoc; Betty (Bill) Saunders, Two Rivers; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Don (Mary) Reif; Roger (Paula) Reif; five sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Loretta Hetue; Dolores (Tom) Dirkman; Marlene Keehan and John Wisnicky; Mardell (Harvey) Dvorak Jr.; Diane (Butch) Basken; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends also survive. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Charles Schetter; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Marie (Elmer) Reif; brother and sister-in-law: Herbert (Margaret) Schetter; five brothers-in-law: Ralph Wilfert; Jack Hessel; Gerald Keehan; Fritz Hetue; and Bernard Reif.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home 1124 Main St. Kellnersville from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of mass at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
