Mrs. Wencel Shavlik, 78, of Francis Creek, died Wednesday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient nine days.
The former Rose Stauber was born November 1, 1875 in Bohemia and came to the United States in 1923, settling at Chicago. She was married to Wencel Shavlik in 1924. He died in June of 1949.
Funeral services are incomplete pending the arrival of a relative and will be announced Friday by the Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wencel Shavlik, 73, of Francis Creek, who died Wednesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, will be held at 8 am Saturday at the Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville and at 8:30 am at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Joseph Rauch will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Only survivors are a niece, Mrs. Joseph Svare and a nephew, James Suchy of Berwyn,, Ill. Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8:15 pm Friday.
