Mrs. Emma B. Shupita, 93, of 2424 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, October 23, at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wencel F. Dufek with whom she resided the past 17 years.
Funeral Mass will be 8 p.m. (sic) Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Philip Hoffmann will officiate and burial will be Saturday in St. Anne Cemetery, Francis Creek.
Mrs. Shupita, nee Emma Saldky, was born Nov. 3, 1886, in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Krall Sladky. She was married to Joseph H. Shupita Sept. 28, 1910. The couple resided most of their married life in Francis Creek. She was a charter member of Christian Mothers Altar Society of St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Her husband preceded her in death in November, 1965.
Survivors include a son, Harry and a daughter, Mrs. Wencel (Mabel) Dufek; two granddaughters, Mrs. Melvin (Lyndoris) Schisel and Mrs. James (Sharon) Sprang both of Manitowoc; a grandson, Harlan Shupita of Green Bay, and nieces and nephews. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at St. Paul Catholic Church, 24th and Wollmer Streets, Manitowoc, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, is in charge of arrangements.
