Mr. Quirin W. Wachal, 84, of 909 Forest Home Drive, Francis Creek, died Friday morning, April 26, 1991, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, Rev. Donald Schneider will officiate with burial at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Francis Creek.
Mr. Wachal was born April 11, 1907, in Kellnersville, son of the late Joseph and Mary Krall Wachal. He attended St. Joseph Grade School and also Reedsville High School. He owned and operated his own welding business in Francis Creek for many years. He was the former Fire Chief for over 20 years in Francis Creek. He was married to the former Eleanor Kocian on November 16, 1927, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. She preceded him in death July 4, 1974.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Lou Ann and Norbert Gruber of Francis Creek; one daughter-in-law, Audrey Wachal Kerscher of Manitowoc; four grandchildren, William Wachal of St. Nazianz, Jim Gruber, Linda Witczak and Rick Gruber, all of Francis Creek; one great granddaughter, Kayla Witczak; one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Helen Wachal of Reedsville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mayme Peroutka of Francis Creek and Anna (Frederick) Kutil of Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor, one infant son, Gerald, one son, Wayne who died in 1984, two sisters, Clara Kugle and Molly Havlichek, and one brother, Alvin Wachal.
