Mr. Arthur J. Wagner, 76, a former resident of Francis Creek, died late Friday afternoon, January 2, 1987, at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc, where he resided the past 5 years.

Funeral services will be 9:15 am Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc and 10 am at St. Anne Catholic church, Francis Creek. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Donald A. Schneider with Rev. John Haen concelebrating and burial will be in St. Anne Cemetery, Francis Creek.

Mr. Wagner was born February 24, 1910 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, son of the late George and Martha Carpenter Wagner. He married Marian Nachtwey, October 1, 1935, at St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown. The couple farmed in the Francis Creek area. Mr. Wagner was also engaged in the operation of the Wagner Brothers Meat Market and Tavern of Francis Creek for a number of years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. The couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1985.

Survivors include his wife, Marian of Manitowoc; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Patricia Wagner of Francis Creek and Richard and Barbara Wagner of Green Bay; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Donald Kohlbeck of Manitowoc, Judy and Lee Cookle of Mequon and Joyce and Richard Katzka of Francis Creek; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Chester and Arlene Wagner of Cooperstown, Eugene and Pat Wagner of Francis Creek and Alvin and Norma Wagner of Kewaunee; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Martha Delsman and Lucille Cookle both of Manitowoc and Grace and Elmer Reinders of Elm Grove, Wisconsin; three sisters-in-law, Bernice Wagner and Martha Wagner, both of Manitowoc and Betty Wagner of Pound and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Sidney, Joseph, George and Lewin Wagner and a grandson, Todd Kohlbeck.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 pm to 8 pm this Sunday where a prayer service will be 7:30 pm.
