MRS. WALLAU DIES, AGE 43
Dies At Home On Route 6, After Long Illness
Mrs. Emma Wallau, 43, died at 7:30 a.m. today at her home on Manitowoc Route 6, after an illness of ten months. Complications caused death. The body was removed to the family residence from the Pfeffer Funeral Home late this afternoon. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 from the home and at 10 o’clock at St. Anne’s church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Joseph Rauch will officiate and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Wallau, formerly Emma Wanek, was born in the Town of Kossuth Sept 6, 1888. She was married to Quirin Wallau at Francis Creek October 16, 1906 and they spent all of their married life on the farm on Route 6. Last October 16 they observed their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary.
Besides the widower, the survivors are two daughters, Irene and Alice, and one son, Leonard, all a home; two brothers, Frank Wanek of Kossuth and John of Gibson; and six sisters, Mrs. Joseph Schleis, Kellnersville; Mrs. Anton Graycarek, Larrabee; Mrs. John Bouda, Mrs. Joseph Peroutka and Mrs. Frank Lodl, all of Kellnersville, and Mrs. Charles Fierst of Melnik.
