Ursula W. Wollum, 72, of 1405 Cherry Rd., Manitowoc, died Monday, July 9, 1990 at Holy Family Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Wednesday July 11 at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Donald Schneider will officiate with burial to follow at St. Anne Cemetery, Francis Creek.
She was born June 12, 1918 in the Township of Kossuth, Manitowoc County,, daughter of the late Frederick and Emma Strouf Baugniet. She grew up and was educated at St. Anne Catholic School, Francis Creek. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1935 and then graduating from the University of Wisconsin in 1939 with a major in English and a minor in Library Science. After college she taught for several years at Valders Public School System and also substituted in the Manitowoc School System. She also worked for a time at the State Unemployment Office in Manitowoc and intermittently with the U.S. Census Bureau. She has lived in Manitowoc County all her life.
Children include Nancy Gonyea of Denver, Colorado; Christine Beranek of Milwaukee; Mark Wollum of Beaver Dam, Wis., and Scott Wollum of Madison, Wis.; a sister-in-law, Betty Baugniet of Manitowoc; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick Baugniet II and Henry Baugniet.
