Mrs. Davis was found beaten, strangled, and shot to death in her home at 2975 Saturn Street, Huntington Park. She and her husband were prominent in the Huntington Park community and for the past 45 years, the case has not been solved. In August, 2016, her granddaughter was featured in several Southern California newspapers discussing the unsolved case.
