Nothing is known about Alexander's heritage. Some researchers feel he was born in PA others Donegal, Ireland.

Alexander McCullough was the husband of Rebecca Griffith. The marriage bonds were issued on 7 Mar 1825 in New Castle County. The next record for Alexander is the 1830 Census when he is in Pencader Hundred, New Castle C0, DE, (family of 6).

In 1833 Alexander buys 136 acres in Pencader Hundred for 3750 lbs.

The couple did have several children in the 13 years before Alexander died in 1838. (This list per "Kate" another contributor.
