The son of Joseph Pouliot and Lumina Tardif, Father Fernand Pouliot was ordained priest on December 21, 1947 at the Sacré Cœur church of Stanstead. Vicar at the parishes of St. Joseph in Sherbrooke, St. Jean l'Evangeliste in Coaticook and St-Patrice in Magog, he went on to serve as curate of Island Brooke between 1957 and 1961, of Johnville from 1961 until 1969, and of Ascot Corner from 1969 till 1981. Almoner to the Ursuline Nuns from 1981 until 1995, he entered the Pavillon Mgr. Racine of Sherbrooke, moving eventually to the Foyer St. Joseph of Sherbrooke where he passed away at 94 years of age on July 29, 2013.
