Louise Barnatt-Anderson, age 56, of Reedsville entered into God's loving care on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on Jan. 29, 1951, in Fort Belvoir, Va., daughter of Ruth Gertrude (Miller) Barnatt and the late Lt. Col. William James Barnatt. Louise attended high school and was a graduate of David Hale Fanning Culinary Arts Academy. She went on to continue her education at Murray State University in Kentucky, where she received a bachelors degree in park and recreation and a minor in child psychology. Upon graduation, she continued the Barnatt family ministry as a lay missionary of the Enthronement Covenant program.
On May 26, 1984, she married Paul D. Armstrong Anderson of Duluth Minn., in Black Stone, Mass. She then retired from ministry and dedicated her life to home schooling her three children and caring for her family. She was proud of all her children and their choices, especially proud when her two sons chose to join the U.S. Army. Sgt. Ian Christian Anderson is stationed with the 4/25 Airborne Brigade Combat Team at Fort Richardson, Alaska, and Spc. Alexander Armstrong Edwin Anderson is with the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C. Both sons presently are serving their country in Iraq.
She was a devoted wife for 23 years to Paul; loving mother to her two sons and one daughter-in-law: Ian Anderson; Alexander and Katie Anderson; and her one daughter: Maria Louise Anderson. She is further survived by one grandson: Pierce William Anderson of Alaska; three brothers and sisters-in-law: William and Judith Barnatt, Thomas and Mary Ellen Barnatt, and Steven and Joan Barnatt; three sisters: Suki Tylor; Christine Burdette, and Marian Majewski, all of Massachusetts. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass at noon, on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. James Jugenheimer, with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic
Church Cemetery, Clarks Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paul D. Anderson or Maria Anderson, P.O. Box 283, Appleton, WI 54912, in Louise's loving memory.
The Christianson & Deja Funeral Home, Valders, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
