Catherine M. Goehring

Catherine M. Goehring, age 79, a town of Cato resident, died Monday, December 8, 2014 at St. Mary Home in Manitowoc.

Catherine was born May 22, 1935 in the town of Cato, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Irlbeck) Linsmeier. She attended St. Michael's Catholic Grade School in Whitelaw and graduated from Valders High School with the class of 1953. On June 26, 1957 she married Edward A. Goehring at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whitelaw. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1994. Catherine and her husband farmed in the town of Cato for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Marion Council, Dairy Farmers of America and the Manitowoc County Milk Producers.

Survivors include five daughters and sons-in-law: Darlene and Mark Kiesow, Valders; Christine and Bill Wiegert, Green Bay; Janice and Rick Bratz, New Holstein; Colleen and Greg Cummings, Reedsville; Gail and Tom Miller, Valders; one son; Gary Goehring, at home; nine grandchildren: Andy (Jackie) Kiesow, Brandon (Margaret) Wiegert, Nicole (Lucas) Clopton, Corey (Melissa) Bratz, Kyle (Jenna) Bratz, Michael (Megan) Cummings, Crystal (Nathan) Schleis, Zachary Miller and special friend Marissa, Tyler Miller; 5 great grandchildren: Jaxon Bratz, Maxen Cummings, Marcus Cummings, Devon Schleis and Mason Schleis. Brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Francis Linsmeier, Cato; Norbert and Dorothy Linsmeier, Valders; Margaret and Paul Neuser, Manitowoc; Theresa and James Toedter, FL; Martha Linsmeier, Cato; and Rita (Jim) Bruchtrup, Manitowoc. She was further survived by other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: John and Esther Goehring, Valders; Carol and Ruth Goehring, Cato; Carl and Doris Goehring, Cato; and Nancy and Dale Cherney, Howards Grove. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jeffrey Bratz; brothers and sisters-in-law: Joseph Linsmeier, Alois Linsmeier, Clement Linsmeier, Christopher Linsmeier, Pat and Lloyd Siebold, Elaine Nate, Marie Linsmeier; and one brother-in-law, Kermit Goehring.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, December 12, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic, Clarks Mills from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m on Friday, December 12, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clarks Mills. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Burial will follow Mass at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Catherine's name.
