Ed McKinney, 71. retired farmer of Route 7, died at 11:30 o'clock Sunday morning at the county hospital. He is survived by his wife, Rosa; a son, Robert McKinney of Route 6; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Hoover of Nashville, route 4, and Mrs. Forrest Davidson of Route 8; a brother, Charles McKinney of Route 8; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral rites will be held at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Barkes and Inlow funeral home. The Rev. Garnet Jewell will conduct the services. Burial will be made at Garland Brook cemetery. The casket is open at the funeral home.
Mr. McKinney was born June 12, 1890 in Brown county, the son of James and Louise Glasgow McKinney. On Sept. 1, 1917, he was married to the former Miss Rosa Shultz. He was engaged in farming until his retirement in 1949. Mr. McKinney had been in ill health for 10 years, and seriously ill since Thursday.
