She attended drama and music school in Hamburg and then went into theatrical performing before going into first film and then television. Her first film role was in "Tage im Hotel" in 1983 and her film credits would later include "Beloved Sisters" (2014), "Der Videopirat" (1985), and "Europa, abends" (1989). Majority of her work was on television which included such credits as "Rivalen der Rennbahn", "SOKO 5113", "Derrick", "Die Unbestechliche", "Tatort", "Ein starkes Team", and "The Old Fox". She was still working in television at the time of her passing.
