GUSTAVE TORRISON

Gustave C. Torrison, age 73, of Valders, died Monday evening, March 22, 1993 at the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders, the Rev. Carl Peters and the Rev. John Conrad officiating with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clarks Mills.

He was born August 16, 1919 at Valders, son of the late Gustave and Mabel Johnson Torrison. He attended Valders Schools, graduating from Valders High School in 1937. He was formerly employed by the Nestle Company, Valders and retired in 1979 from the Carnation Company, Chilton. He married Grace Schuh on October 16, 1945 at Clarks Mills. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and a former member of the Valders Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Grace, one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Beth, Madison; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Sue and Otto Torrison Grunow, Sheboygan Falls and Kay Lynn and Bob Torrison Lange, Columbus; two sisters, Harriet and Steve Shimon, Brookfield and Thelma and Jerry Scardaci, Mount Vernon, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Erika Torrison, Annika and Brittany Lange; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold and Delores Schuh, Chandler, Ariz., Jack and Sharon Schuh, Valders, Elizabeth Hartsworm, Appleton, Beatrice and Robert Dornaus, Manitowoc, Marge and Marvin Pivonka, Clarks Mills, Sue and Owen Peterson, Gladstone, Mich., John Schuh, Valders, Marie Schuh, Evansville, Wis. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his step father, Bernard Ullrich, four brothers-in-law, George, Walter and Charles Schuh and Keith Hartsworm.

Friends may call at the Faith Lutheran Church Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. The Christianson-Deja Funeral home, Valders is serving the family.
