Bernadine C. Zipperer, age 88, formerly of Clarks Mills and Whitelaw, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.

The former Bernadine C. Staudinger was born in the town of Cato on July 1, 1926, daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Hill) Staudinger. On August 8, 1944 Bernadine was married to Norbert B. Zipperer at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2001. The couple farmed until 1962, she then worked for Torison's Clover Farm Store in Valders and later at Christel's Piggly Wiggly in Valders. She loved gardening, canning, sewing and playing sheepshead with her friends. Bernadine was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills and St. Mary's Marian Council.

Survivors include 3 sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth (Mary Jane) Zipperer, Cato; Ronald (Linda) Zipperer, Manitowoc; David (Cheryl) Zipperer, Whitelaw; 7 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law: Donna Zipperer, Whitelaw; Bonnie Zipperer, Manitowoc; 1 brother-in-law: LeRoy Remiker, Two Rivers, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charlie and Clara Staudinger; her husband: Norbert B. Zipperer; 1 granddaughter; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Louis and Elizabeth (Meidl) Zipperer; 6 sisters and 5 brothers-in-law: Emily Staudinger; Viola (Jack) Braun; Irene (Albert) Klopp; Leona (Louis) Remaker; Florence (Charles) Stefl; Delores (John) Chandler; 1 brother and sister-in-law: Harold (Tina) Staudinger; 8 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ray (Rose) Zipperer; Clarence (Donna) Zipperer; Art (Irene) Zipperer; Leroy Zipperer; Jerome Zipperer; Margaret (Ed) Kohlman; Clara Zipperer; Arlene (John) Kocourek; Loretta (Helmar) Franzen; Jeanette Remiker.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. The Rev. Richard Klingeisen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial of her cremated remains in the parish cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until time of services at 5:00 p.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
