Norma Lou Clark Whitaker

Norma Lou Clark Whitaker, Greenwood, IN, passed away peacefully at Aspen Trace Senior Living Center on Dec. 18, 2015. She was born on July 4, 1928 and was raised in Washington, IN, where she graduated as valedictorian from Washington High School. Norma received her BA from Indiana University and her MA from Butler University. She was married to Kenneth Parker Clark who preceded her in death and to Francis D. Whitaker who has recently passed away. Norma taught school for 38 years and retired from Clark Pleasant School Corp. where she was head of the Business Department at Whiteland Community High School. During her life she enjoyed reading, playing bridge, and being with her family. She is survived by her children, and a brother, Ron Peachee. She has 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Center Grove Church in Greenwood, IN on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 3, 2016 at 2:00pm. There will be a gathering after the service in Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or a charity of your choice.
