Frank J. Wabiszewski, age 91, a resident of Villa St Benedict, Lisle, IL, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2014 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. He was born March 12, 1923 in Milwaukee, WI. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Lane; his loving children, Susan (Jess) Hines, Ellen (Alan) Eigner, Ann (Todd) Galletta, MaryJo (the late Patrick) Savino, Frank (Jill) Wabiszewski, Jr. and Daniel (Jodi) Wabiszewski; his adored grandchildren, Lanie and Jay Hines, Jeanne and Audrey Eigner, Christopher, Michael and Elizabeth Savino; his dear sisters, Collette (the late Frank) Kornacki and Rita (the late Frank) Adams; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jack Wabiszewski, Judith Nowinski and Cynthia Moore. Proud Veteran of WWII and Bronze Star recipient, 1st Lieutenant, US Army Combat Engineers. He was a devoted husband and loving father and will be deeply missed. He will be remembered for his quick wit, good jokes, always being ready with a story and his warm smile. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 5, 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Monastery Chapel, 1910 Maple Ave., Lisle, IL. Interment will follow at St Adalbert Cemetery, Milwaukee, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Retirement Fund for the Benedictine Sisters c/o Sacred Heart Monastery would be greatly appreciated.
