American Actress. Born Margaret Anne Mary Mundy, she was born in London, but moved with her family to the United States at the age of six in 1921. She began her career as a model before appearing on the Broadway stage in 1934's 'The Great Waltz'. She would appear in several more plays, among them 'Ten Million Ghosts', 'Hooray For What!', 'Three to Make Ready', 'How I Wonder' and 'The Respectful Prostitute', for which she won the 1948 Theatre World Award for her performance. The versatile character actress would make her television debut in 1949 on 'The Ford Theatre Hour' and would go on to appear in dozens of TV shows and series, including 'Suspense', 'Lights Out', 'The Web', 'Tales of Tomorrow', 'Guiding Light', 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents', 'Naked City', 'Law & Order' and 'All My Children'. From 1971 to 1982, she appeared on 'The Doctors', for which she was nominated for an Emmy award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Drama Series. Her film credits include 'Eyes of Laura Mars' (1978), 'Ordinary People' (1980), 'The Survivors' (1983) and 'Fatal Attraction' (1987). Mundy died at age 101 of natural causes.
