Civil War Veteran. Benjamin's records sometimes has his given name as Frank or Franklin. He enlisted in Company D 86th Ohio Regiment as a Private on 16 June 1863 from Clinton, Wayne County, Ohio. He was mustered out on 10 February 1864. He started receiving his pension on 14 August 1906.

Emma and Benjamin had one daughter, Eva, born about 1888. She married Fred R. Atkinson. In the 1910, 1920, and 1930 Census they are living with Benjamin. Eva's Memorial is #80594019.

Volunteer Vern ( #49167924 ) could not locate any marker in the cemetery. There is plenty of extra room in his wife's plot but found nothing. Probably burial is unmarked but likely near his wife. He walked the cemetery a couple of times.
