Services for Robert Lee Thompson, 36, of Newberg will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, in Brown Memorial Chapel, Newberg. Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland.
Mr. Thompson died Aug. 8, 1965, as the result of a gunshot wound.
A native of Canon City, Colo., he had lived in Newberg for six months. He served in the Korean War and was a member of Mill Men's Local 1120, Portland.
He is survived by his widow, Bertha, and two brothers.
