Mary L. Forrest, age 90 of Marion, passed away January 26, 2016 at the Marion General Hospital. She was born in Gallipolis, OH September 9, 1925, to the late Virgil H. and Edith P. (Evans) Sisson. Mary was a graduate of Marion Harding High School in the class of 1943. In 1949, Mary married the late Lester A. Forrest, in Greensboro, KY. Mary was a clerk for various companies and retired from Wal-Mart. She was a member of Peace Community United Church of Christ. She was an avid bowler and got to travel all over the U.S. to compete. She is survived by her children, Gale (Craig) Fletcher, Janet Harper, Larry (Cindy) Forrest, and Mary Lynn (Gary) Patrick all of Marion; grandchildren, Matthew Fletcher, Aimee Fletcher, Corey Fletcher, Tyler (Sarah) Fletcher all of Columbus, Regan Spitzer, Travis Lingo both of Marion, Arnie Forrest of Naples, FL, Toby Forrest of Washington, Ryan Forrest and Kelly (Brandon) Simmons both of Marion; great grandchildren, Amelia Fletcher, Gabriel Spitzer, Kaitlyn Forrest, Mary Evelyn Forrest, Jordan Forrest, and Kailyn Simmons; and brothers, Carl, Paul, and Ronald Sisson. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Dale Anna Forrest; sister, Garnetta Wilson; and brothers, Robert, James, John, Edward, and David Sisson. Family will greet friends from 10AM to 11 AM, January 29, 2016, at the Gunder Hall & Snyder Funeral Home. A service celebrating her life will follow at 11 AM with Celebrant Mark Schuring officiating.
