Singer, Songwriter and Poet. Vearncombe, who also went by the name Black, will best be remembered for the 1980s singles "Sweetest Smile" and "Wonderful Life". He released his first single, "Human Features" in 1981 and signed a major label deal with WEA in 1984. The following year, he wrote and released the single "Wonderful Life", which became a worldwide hit after it was re-released by A&M in 1987. He would go on to release eight albums as Black and six under his own name, among them 'Black', 'Are We Having Fun Yet?', 'The Accused', 'Water On Snow', 'Between Two Churches', 'Water On Stone' and 2015's 'Blind Faith'. Colin died 16 days later from injures suffered in a car accident.
