Mr. Richard "Dick" H. Norvell, died at 11:45 PM Thursday, September 14, 2006 at his home.
He was born February 22, 1931 in Canton, IL, the son of Herman Harold and Cleo Beatrice Campbell Norvell. He married Doris Ann Koons Norvell. She died in 1969.

He is survived by two sons, Mike Norvell and Jeff Norvell and three daughters, Lynda Norvell, Janet Norvell McKeown, and Lisa Inness. His is also survived by two brothers, Bill Norvell and Steve Norvell, and two sisters, Maryann Huebschmann and Phyllis Lappin, and seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and 2 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Paula Norvell Manifold, in 1983, and one brother Bob Norvell.
He served as a Sgt in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953.

He worked as a substation technician for the former Illinois Power Company for 30 years, retiring in 1991. He had lived in Galesburg the past 45 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Ducks Unlimited, and Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285. He graduated from Mt. Sterling High School.
