He was a laborer at Hydraulic Brick Press in Brookly for 22 years.
Surviors include his wife, Martha J. Hale; one brother, Wilburn "Witt" Hale of Pennington Gap, Va; and two sisters, Rebbie "Reba" Carpenter of Martinsville and Sarah C. "Judy" Blondell of Mooresville.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Gateway Tabernacle Church in Martinsville. Burial will be at New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
