Ryan Timothy Yauck, of West Bend, died on Monday, February 15, 2016 at the age of 18 years. He was struck and killed alongside Hwy 45 at Chestnut Street while putting gas in his car. He was born on September 12, 1997 in Milwaukee to Timothy and Margaret “Peggy” (nee Davis) Yauck.

Following his graduation from West Bend West High School this year, he was to attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, pursuing a degree in French. He also was employed at Starbucks. As a young adult, he learned to appreciate the finer things in life. He traveled to France on multiple occasions and was an accomplished equestrian show jumper. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors. He and his dad spent time hunting in Alaska during wilderness adventure trips.

Survivors include his dad Tim (Julie Larson), his sister Emily; grandparents Bob and Marilyn Yauck of Brown Deer and Audrey Davis of Ripon, Wisconsin; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Peggy on January 11, 2012, and a grandfather Thomas Davis.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 8:30 until 11:30 a.m. at the West Bend East High School Silver Lining Arts Center with funeral services at 11:45 a.m. with Pastor Troy Loether of Kettlebrook Church officiating. Burial will followed in Holy Angels Cemetery. The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend assisted the family.
